Jon Jones fights Stipe in a November title defense.
The other four HWs who are really in the mix right now are Sergei Pavlovich, Tom Aspinall, Jailton Almeida and Cyril Gane.
How would you match up those four?
Probably try to keep them apart unless the title is on the line. Try to get them all a title fight before they start knocking each other off. HW probably hasn’t had so many fresh contenders since Cain, JDS and Carwin all came along around the same time.
Aspinall says he’s down to fight Pavlovich or Gane.

Winner either fights gane for a title shot eliminator or fights winner of stipe and Jones for title

Pavlovich is the backup fighter who will weigh in for the Jones vs Stipe title fight. No fight likely for him this year unless Jones or Stipe pull out.
Blaydes vs Almeida is booked for the week before the Jones Stipe fight.

As most UGers expected, Aspinall just beat Tybura and Gane just beat Spivak.
Everything rests on whether or not Jones beats Stipe and then retires or decides to defend vs Pavlovich next.
If Jones retires the night of or soon after beating Stipe then UFC will do Pavlovich vs Gane for the next title fight most likely.
Volkov has had some big loses but he is on a two fight win streak and if he beats Tuivasa and gets another win, he could be the darkhorse to get back in the title mix. Blaydes as well, if he upsets Almeida… he could find a way back to the title picture as well.
Everything with Pavolvich and Gane depends on whether or not Jones retires this year or not.
