I still doubt him and it will take a win over a top fighter in his prime for me to think he's as good as he says he is
I think Jacare would have the better chance at taking it from Weidman. Dude has some nice power on the feet and has some really wide, looping shots that could always catch Weidman and he'd have a nice advantage on the ground of Weidman if he could get it there, I'd doubt his abilities to be very effective if Weidman were the one on top of him though.

Jacare is a problem for anyone with his speed and power.
His takedowns are legit as well. It's not his fault his opponents keep getting hurt, otherwise he'd probably have more wins over higher ranked guys 
Lets not compare RDA until they do some blood testing on him.
Cerrone has a chance against the old RDA but the new RDA destroys everybody with out even breaking a sweat or breathing hard.

All doubts should have been erased after the second Anderson fight. There was no fluke involved when Weidman flash KO'd Silva in the first round.
I do think OP is right, though. Weidman's rise has been quick and shocking. He went from the prelims, to headlining a UFC Fuel event, to knocking out one of the greatest fighters in MMA history.
Once he beats Rockhold, the doubters will still come up with something.
