Why would more people tune in to Spike at 10pm then tuned into CBS primetime back when Kimbo still had the mystique of being some ultimate badass?
This show will do 4.5 million viewers I predict. Next week, after Kimbo losses (and I don't know that for fact, but common sense says Roy is better in every facet of the game) will do only 1.5 million viewers I predict.

Isn't it funny that people want the sport to grow, and the fighters to make more money, but then don't want the fans to come along with it?... We were all noobs at one point.
Yeah...my boss who no more than 2 months ago told me "the ufc is gay b/c its just 2 dudes in their underwear" asked me today....Do you have any clue if Kimbo wins on wednesday?.....it was def a WTF moment.

SoulreapeR - They are not fans. No one likes the ground fighting. They don't like it, cause to them it's not violent enough and they get no adrenaline rush. Until you've grappled or trained Jiu-Jitsu, you can't appreciate the ground game. And until the fighters stop apologizing for not knocking out the other guy, i'm against new fans. I personally think "more money" = "more corruption". $50,000 for a fight? That's being rich to me. There's no reason to turn this into what other pro sports have turned into ... this will be the death of the sport for the purists. I'm already teetering on strictlky Japanese organizations.
You're like a hipster music fan. Give the new fans time to learn the sport. The KOs bring 'em in, gradually they'll get around to learning the intricacies of the rest of the game, not everyone trained for 15 years before UFC 1 like you apparently did.

In an interesting trivia note, Kimbo Slice's cousin is Rhadi Ferguson, who competed for the U.S. in the 2004 Olympics in judo and has also competed in the world championships in BJJ.
