akebh - Congrats David, glad to here your becoming a man. You'll have plenty of time to train for your match with TJ,with TJ.If that makes sense.Best of luck with your training
Nah, Quincy would murder me. I was just trying to make light of my embarrassing situation is all.
HawaiianBomber -David@AccutestMi -Man, I need to try and get down to CSF... I'm about 45 min away now, though...MountainMedic - so you made it down to csf i take it?
Ya I started last night. It was a TON of fun and a TON of work. I have an overwhelming respect for people who train . I started off not too bad but it certainly didn't end that way. Everyone there was witness to my speed as I flew out of the door twice to go puke in the parking lot.
They could have busted my balls a ton for it but they were all totally cool. I don't think after this thread I will get the same treatment but none the less I will go back and take my beatings like a man.
Everyone there was real cool and friendly. Very willing to help you if you need it. I had a couple questions and got exactly what I needed to hear for an answer. It was really a good experience and will be back tomorrow on an empty stomach...
I'm about 30-35 minutes away from CSF and only about 10 minutes away from Warrior Way. I can say for certain I am glad I chose CSF. It was cool kind of already knowing Quicny, Dave and Steve from here which made me feel a little bit better about training for my first time.
From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted and people walked up and introduced themselves to me which was cool for me because I was bit nervous being there. I showed up like 45 minutes early to stretch because I knew that cardio was a major sticking point there and if I hadn't I would be super sore the next day.
Class started and wow what a freaking work out. Granted I am out of shape. But even though it was hard to hang with the rest of everyone there, i tried my best. And as much shit as I talk here. I could have gotten my balls busted maybe a 1000x over for having to puke and slowing up on some of the cardio. But nobody said a word except for me to take a it a bit easy, which I didn't want to.
We drilled a bit after and sparred which I didn't partake in. It was my first day and from what I was told alot of newbie idiots come in and want to go a 100%. I'm not new to sparring but I didn't want to make any uncomfortable so I bowed out of it and took a well needed rest for about 10 minutes.
Then grappling started and again its all new to me. Dave Garcia was very welcoming and took time to make sure I was drilling correctly. He told me what I needed to do for it to flow more naturally(we were doing armbars and guard escapes.) I got paired with a guy a bit out of my weight class but wasn't a prick when it came to free rolling. I am assuming he could have gone much harder but he was very helpful as well.
For someone thats new to training like me I would certainly recommend CSF. They make you feel welcome and there weren't any hardasses there that are there to hurt or abuse you which sometimes you get at places. Price was nice too!!
Thanx for the kind words...We just do it because we love it...
Nothing in the world I wanna ever do but wake up and do mma....
Its all I think about..Its the greatest..

Oh I wasn't talking about you. All you did was give me a shit grin enjoying your grizzly w/mint as I ran out into the parking lot.
Did you tell Rocky to quit loafin?
I didnt know daveaccutest was the dave from yesterday good rolling.
Sounds cool man.
When I first started at JG (Jorge Gurgels) academy in Ohio I ran into the girls bathroom and puked.
Almost puked at Wanderlei's when I visited the gym in Vegas.
Everyone is pretty cool about it, most of the guys have probably been there done that.
I need to get off my ass.
TalkShowOnMute - Did you tell Rocky to quit loafin?

Besides, Garcia needs to give me two punches on the arm.

Thanks for the kind words. It means alot to me. I learned a TON last night. I learned not to roll with you.. and not to spar with Steve. You two kicked my ass!!!! I have to go invest in some shin guards as well. My shin looks disgusting and I got a huge hand sized knot on it. Learning the hard way is the only way to learn imo.
Great session though!!!
