Dana is dead set on getting the Jones vs Stipe fight done. Say Jones wants to pull a GSP and walk about after that with the belt and Aspinall becomes the official champ.
Jones is young enough that if Aspinall can build his brand and get a few defenses then Jones could potentially be enticed to come back for one more with enough money on the line if he wants to roll the dice.
Clearly Jones don’t want to go out like JDS, Cain, Werdum, Fedor etc… but it is unclear if he is gonna be able to sail off into the sunset like Khabib without being tempted to pull a GSP and return for one more for the belt.
Would be a damn shame if we get zero fights between Jones, Ngannou and Aspinall.
People should be glad Jones, Aspinall and Ngannou are around though.
Without them though you are watching Volkov, Lewis, Blaydes in a lot of title fights.
