Many people have been saying that Hendo will be KOd for the first time in his career. Hendo is a world class wrestler and if he can keep the fight on the ground JDS speed and size mean nothing and he could GnP him ( if cardio is not a problem ) plus JDS hasn't been tested on his back and we don't know how he would react in that situation.
Anyone remember a man by the name of Randy Couture ? He was always called a small HW and stepped into the octogon giving up a lot of weight. He used his superior wrestling to get the Win that made him a 2 time HW Champion !
Also Randy never had the KO power that Hendo has.
And if you say Hendo wouldn't be able to defend the HW Title if he won, who cares ! He could retire as the GOAT ! What more would he have to prove in this sport ?
And if he wanted, he could take SuperFights/Catchweight Fights until he is ready to hang it up.

JDS isn't just much bigger, but he's faster and more athletic. He'd maul Hendo from that alone.
The reach on JDS would be ridiculous and that would help stop the take downs even more so it would be a really hard fight for Hendo. The guy is a beast so you can never count him out !!

If Hendo can keep the fight on the ground JDS speed means nothing ! When have we ever seen JDS on his back ? NEVER ! We don't know how good he is. Ok, he may be a black belt in BJJ under the Nog Bros. But we have seen other black belts get pounded out off of their back before.....so why not Hendo doing the same to JDS.
IMO Hendo would be the best choice NOT Mir ! Mir has been dominated by Brock and Carwin and JDS destroyed Carwin.

I don't understand why everyone is sleeping on Hendo ! Just ask Big Nog if he could hang with HW fighters ( and that is when Nog was a beast )
This fight would do HUGE Number for PPV ! It would be a great decision for the UFC and the Fans.
I like Mark Hunt, don't get me wrong, but Hendo has EARNED it more than Hunt. If Hunt can pull together 2 more wins over TOP 5 HW fighters then he should get a shot at the title.

I don't see JDS getting finished off his back if he ends up there unless your name is Jon Jones. Plus he has underrated wrestling, he took Carwin down a couple times. I would love to see Jones or Hendo fight for the HW title this year over anyone else.

Hendo will get smashed into retirement. He is an awesome LHW or MW but JDS is big and to great of a stand up fighter for him. His best chance at a championship is against JBJ. AS would punish him with speed TDD and precision striking.
If Hendo takes the JDS fight he is doing nothing but solidifying his legacy as a bad ass, win or lose.
A couple of corrections:
Hendo, (my favorite all time MMA fighter) is not a world class wrestler. In fact far from it.
Randy was a 3 time heavyweight champion.
I can't see Dan standing much of a shot at beating JDS but you never know with that H Bomb. He wouldn't be shooting take downs from the outside either, he would work a clinch game.
IMO, JDS stops Dan in the 2nd round and it's ugly, (for Dan and his fans). Dan's just too small for the top, elite heavyweights.
