I actually think that Mir, while obviously rocked, went to the ground in a caluclated move to get Nog to follow him down, which he did. Watch the gif below. Once on the mat, Mir immediately grabs Nog's ankle. Nog then rolls Mir over into the choke, but Mir immediately locks up Nog's leg, then slowly works himself into position to apply his own submission.
These aren't the actions of someone who is "out" or "unconcious."
The rest is history.
So to me, it looks like Nog got suckered by Mir, who baited him then caught him in the sub. Chew on that a while, Nog apologists.
I can say honestly that I absolutely despise Frank Mir but he took a good couple of shots and did what he gets paid to do. It was an impressive win and I tip my hat to him.

i love mir and he did great but herb fucked this fight for nog. if he would have been yelling at mir to protect himself instead of telling nog to stop hitting back of the head... whitch he was not. fight would have been diff.
but mir is a beast for coming back and cant take it away from him.
