That would be the ideal scenario but It's hard to happen. Silva has allot of physical advantages over GSP. He ages slower but i don't want to elaborate on that (this is not a political forums and i want to stay on topic), he massively outweights GSP and has a massive reach advantage. I can perfectly understand why GSP doesn't want this fight now - he sees the trap these cowardly people are setting. Silva will just use his massive strength advantage to grind out a decision against the weaker but better GSP. I don't want to see the GSP vs Silva fight. Silva vs Jones is the fight the people want. GSP has Nick Diaz to worry about and Nick being one of the greatest fighters to ever grace the octagon with infinite stamina and great boxing will prove how great GSP really is. How much you want to bet Diaz hits the ground in the first 10 seconds? He will be bruised and beaten by the GOAT - GSP. After Silva loses to Jones, people will realize who the true GOAT was - GSP.

40 pounds is the first thing. Fighting Silva is sugar coating on top for us fans. His division is stacked. The LHW devision is stacked.

Hendricks and Diaz are both considered more dangerous opponents than anyone outside of Dan Henderson has been considered to Silva, these are guys GSP hasn't even fought yet and he already has had a tougher strength of schedule if you will. Now we are talking Silva/Bisping, Silva might go down as the most gifted fighter but the reality is there is a ceiling, there is a degree of difficulty on his career that will always have an asterisk next to his resume

Just like the MW division being "weaksauce" 2 of the 4 LHW's Bones has defeated recently are shells of their former selves in there. They have iconic names due to where they were from 2004-2008, and that makes them SEEM more impressive.
