Interim GOAT?
Conor isn't even in the same universe as Jones. Bones could easily be a two division champ if he didn't actually clean out his division with minimal focus.
All that the interim means is that the fight will go on and the winner is the temporary champ while the champ licks his wounds. The IC keeps fighting and defending it. If the champ makes a comeback, his first fight must be with the IC for the undisputed title .
If the injured champ doesn't fight the IC within a certain amount of time, the IC becomes the undisputed champion (ex. Barao) .
It's not that stupid of a thing. I understand it and you have to look at it from both sides.
