If you read the article on MMAWeekly.com about Shamus resigning, it sounds like they are getting rid of the teams. Does anyone know anymore about this?
From the article...
""Rather than a New York team versus a Houston team versus a Los Angeles team, which was a fabrication, quite honestly ... we're going to go to the reality of it. The reality is that all these fighters fight with different disciplines. They all have different techniques and that's really where the true competition is going to come from is all these different disciplines fighting each other.""
That makes me think they are getting rid of the teams all together.
It's the camp against camp approach. But after december, who knows.
theyre still gonna have teams but the team will now be schools rather then random guys thrown together
MUCH better IMO... cant wait.
Pitbulls gonna be hard to beat, not to many places have talent as deep as they do
"The reality is that all these fighters fight with different disciplines. They all have different techniques and that's really where the true competition is going to come from is all these different disciplines fighting each other."
Wrestlers vs. Kickboxers vs. BJJers?
yay i wanna beon a camp
"heard that they are also permanently eliminating profit as well"
How can you eliminate something you never had?
Looks like they're going for the BJJ vs. Wrestler Vs. Kick Boxer angle. If thats the case it going to be a bigger failure than it already was.
i like camp vs camp (mfs vs aka, etc) but pure style vs style is where we started, not where we are. kinda like nba vs nfl in a tetherball elimanation tourney.................who the fuck cares. even better when the tetherball matches are shown 3-6 weeks after the fact. yawn-BMM
Camp Vs Camp is what every real fan wants.
