Matt Brown, Woodley, Hendricks, all should be leapfrogged by Maia because Maia has put in the work.

Hendricks and Woodley would beat Maia IMO. Both were very successful college wrestlers, so I'm guessing they could deal with Maia's grappling. I could be wrong though.

The dream for him would be if Condit beats Lawler, and he gets a shot against Condit.
He definetly can beat condit.
That being said, i doubt he has much of a chance in a 5 rounder against Hendricks or Lawler.
I don 't believe Maia can beat Lawler. And I say this as a huge Maia fan who wants to be wrong.
However, he is the most deserving a title shot. The only other fighter in the top five that may deserve it more is Woodley.

Of all those guys, only Weidman is in the same league as Woodley and Hendricks. (Hendricks is actually a cut above both Woodley and Weidman.)
But, on the other hand, Weidman's wrestling credentials were light years ahead of Rockhold's, yet Rockhold still out grappled Weidman. So who knows.
At the end of the day I don't know how Maia would match up against anyone in the top 5.
