I was seriously hoping the ref (I think it was Steve M) would just stop the fight when it was clear Ireland was going to let his arm get f'ed up before he'd tap.
Joakim could easily have broken his arm, you could see him say to the referee "stop the fight i am going to break it"

The dude interviewing him before the fights said Jay was "well spoken and intellectual sounding." It may have been sarcasm.
