Title is obviously sarcasm.
The most common injury I seem to be reading about at the highest levels of MMA is knee related.
My question as a layman becomes the following: Is this consistent with what happens to anyones knees when they are training at the highest levels possible or does MMA training need to take a hard look at what is going on.
If it's avoidable by changing training methods, is there already a camp out there that has a very low injury rate even with its highest caliber athletes?
I am not looking to fix any problem, im just a keyboard warrior. I just want to know if its something that I should watch out for when I become world champion.
This is a good article about how common ligament and tendon injuries were in the steroid era of baseball because they put an unnatural strain on your ligaments and tendons.

They say roughly 70% of guys in the UFC are on PED's? Probably goes some way towards explaining it.
TryhardNobody - Theres a good article on s-dog called "PCL injuries in mma often due to shooting in" by some doctor.
So if you are shooting steroids via some doctor, you are much more likely to blow your knee than if you go to a known doctor?
some say blowing dana is
Future training camps will involve nothing but a stationary bike and watching fight videos.
Guys gotta do more low impact training like the Diaz brosefs

if i was in his lifted shoes id for sure go for miesha
People can discuss the nuances of training and proper methods, but lets not overthink this. You are training to fight another high level athlete by inflicting damage on his body in various ways. The training for that is going to be physically damaging and result in injuries. That's just the nature of the game. It's not something that can be solved by less training, different methods or anything else.

I'm not sure that Running miles upon miles is 'low impact', but yeah, what they do (Triathlon style) I'd do if I was a fighter (except for running - I'd do it on a treadmill).
Swimming + Cycling = Can't go wrong, IMO.
I think it's overtraining because of the MASSIVE amount of training resources now.
Knee injuries are super common in all sports, mma isn't special. I'm someone who had dome it 3 times before I even started training bjj a day wrestling.

Maybe being in the ufc, having insurance, more financial stability, top physical therapists and a contract makes guys more open to knee surgery.
Not overtraining and not roids, I did my MCL. It's just common when combining striking, clinch and wrestling. So many ways to move, so many ways you shouldn't move but are being forced to. Joe Hurley correct as always.
Knee injuries are a major player in all sports. It's a pretty weak joint for the demands that are asked of it.
