The guy above doesn't know what he's talking about. DC will def be in the HOF . he's the current LHW champ and the strikeforce GP champ. He has fought top competition in HW and LHW . I'm not even a DC fan like that but even I see that .

I think DC is one of the top 6 or 7 best fighters of all time. He's the only fighter that I've seen dominate in the Heavies as well as Light heavies.
I don't think Bones Jones nor any other LH would share the same success in the heavies.
So I say yes to UFC HOF.

he didn't beat the champ for his belt and we're not talking about the Strikeforce HOF.
He could definitely earn it, but if he's a lock as of now, so are dozens of other guys.

But DC is one hell of an athlete and fighter. His only loss being a fight with Jones. And fighting both LHW and HW? Damn son. One of the baddest for sure.

eddieistheillest -Bas Rutten had a long post-career as a commentator, sports analyst, occasional actor, and he even did PSAs for Nickelodeon for exercise breaks. He had a huge cult following and had crossover fans that weren't even into MMA because of the YouTube video that was a highlight reel of his self-defense video (he credits the YouTube vid for getting all his acting gigs). If DC got injured and left the sport tomorrow, I'm not sure he's done quite enough, and I don't think being Champion is quite enough either, not when we have 10 of them at a time, not when you're not an established draw on your own. There are lots of UFC world champions who aren't likely to end up in there (and also some dudes who haven't held a UFC belt like Hendo who are pretty much locks).
That being said if DC beats Jones, then eventually, he'll probably be in there. If he doesn't win but stays in the sport awhile, particularly if he has a long broadcasting career, I think he'll be in there. The dude is so underrated when it comes to his mic skills it's not even funny. He follows the Chael Sonnen playbook on that only he's so subtle that most people don't even realize it.

He is a star of the UFC, yes he will be in the hall of fame. He does UFC tonight and a bunch of other stuff for them too so I see him always being on their good side. Although I don't see DC winning or really competing too much longer in the UFC.
I say no unless he beats Jones and goes on to some more big wins. He got into mma late and don't think he has enough time to reach hof status.
