Israel Adesanya can never surpass Anderson Silva

Izzy has the highest of respect for Anderson and fought accordingly

If he beats Khamzat, he’ll surpass Silva.

Anderson Silva vs Thales Leites says hold my beer. At least with Romero there is the fear for a KO at any minute.

Same with Anderson though.

Either way big fan of Silva and Adesanya. Silva of course is one of the greatest ever. Adesanya has a while to go to be in talks.

The MW GOAT across the spectrum is Mousasi, and he’s still going.

And the overall is Fedor/

Longevity, supremacy, and without controversy.

Gegard is a great fighter but he’s had a good amount of losses to lesser opponents. So can’t agree with him, just on longevity.

Fedor never fought at MW so he doesn’t count. HW is another story.

Anderson seemed to have more sting. Izzy may be more technical but mother fuckers dropped in a heap with one short straight punch from Anderson. Chris Lebron has a steel jaw and was jabbed to Bolivia.

Forrest folded like a cheap lawn chair after 1 Silva counter punch. No wind up just pop.

It’s a bloody shame Silva and Izzy never fought in their primes

Like who?

He beat Jardine & was robbed, he beat King Mo from the bottom & was robbed.
He lost to Hall & immediately avenged it easily.
He lost to the best Macheater we’ve ever seen who failed the PED smell test by 4 million picograms.
Avenged that too.

He’s probably got more TKO’S than Silva has wins, and has wins across 3 divisions including heavyweight, against Mark Hunt to boot who’d crush A.Silva just like he did V.Silva.

Propaganda & the UFC spin cycle is the only reason Silva is higher amongst UFC fans, a cycle that hit fever pitch by bombarding GOAT talk while handing out free James Irvin fight while Fedor was busy highlighting the UFC HW champs.
No, Silva was an exceptionally fantastic fighter and a highlight reel, Mousasi is the MW GOAT.
His true record speaks for itself.

Go compare records and put Jardine & Mo in Gerard’s W column where they belong.
Now you’ve got a 50-5 guy in his prime against the worlds best.

There is no logical way to put Silva ahead of Mousasi based on metrics or strength of opponents.

Hahahahaha

Well, I don’t like him but respect to Izzy. It was a good title run for sure, better than most. Another example of how impressive Anderson’s run really was.

Izzy lost, but tbf, Alex got fast tracked to that title shot, it was kind of fucked really. Hes a stylistic nightmare for Izzy and if we’re taking off the rose tinted glasses both of them would have been stylistic nightmares for Anderson.

Prime Anderson would have no problem out striking Izzy. Old man Anderson won round 2 against Izzy. Prime Silva kills him

AP is so big and strong. I don’t even know how he makes 185. Silva would get him down and submit him though

Correct, Anderson in his prime was a power level we’ve never seen before. Over 9000. No can defend. Best of all time.

Izzy/Silva was a casual sparring session.

Prime Silva was clowning guys like Rich Franklin not world class kickboxers with a height/reach advantage over him.

Does anyone think Izzy would have KO’d Vitor Belfort in one round? Or KO’d him at all?

Prime Rockhold beats Izzy and Pereira

Seems like you’re indirectly admitting that you think Izzy beats Vitor on the feet, even if he doesnt KO him. And Vitor is the best striker Anderson ever beat…right? second best would probably be Hendo who had power and a good chin but was not very technical at all. Neither have the striking credentials of Izzy and Alex and both are much shorter with a shorter reach.

Idk how you’re drawing that conclusion. I do not belly’s d Izzy would have KO’d Vitor Belfort. Which indicates Silva was in fact better
