Perhaps you could ask him about IVC 11 tournament winner Flavio Moura and what it was like bringing him to UFC. Moura is a obscure and forgotten figure in this sport even though he fought a number of good fighters in various known promotions (IVC, Deep, Pancrase, M-1).
u didnt mention Branko C ?.You said that fight is what turned u off.u did mention him and i replied in 20 seconds u are swearing to God and lying
I 100% mentioned him
lol my bad i see it now But he was dqed for grabbing rope in first minute
Brother
I have no idea
I didn’t touch it
That Branco fight is something that needs to be examined
Like you had said, Kerrs entry into Pride was met with lackluster endings
Truly strange and incredibly interesting
Branko ending was bad because he was picked up and slammed then quit and purposely got DQ by grabbing ropes Same with Duarte who grabbed ropes after being warned 5x after getting destroyed Both did it to saven themselves a loss and beating Kerr was at his prime then.He had demons and it effected his career,The Branko comment is my bad i didnt see it
not strange…Branko felt the power and quit so did Duarte
Imagine being the manager telling Duerte that they accepted a fight for him against Kerr
The push back must have been incredible
To Duertes credit he at least showed up that night
It was clearly under protest, but he climbed into the ring
Duarte was not scared prior to the fight .he was happy for the opportunity until things didnt his way same with Branko.Neither could stay on feet
The Kerr - Duarte fight was one I was looking forward to. I wanted to see what an old school Luta Livre Vale Tudo fighter could do against a guy like Kerr. Yeah, Duarte was coming off the loss to Tank but there was still some mystique behind him and maybe the Tank fight was a fluke. I think Duarte was overwhelmed in the moment and had an emotional breakdown in the ring with Kerr. He basically did everything he could to not fight during the match. Yes, he had real grit to step in there but I’d honestly be ashamed to step back in my gym or face my friends after a fight like that. I’m surprised Duarte ever fought again.
I am in the same boat you are Vril
The sheer mass of Kerr and the knowledge of his wrestling background had the entire locker room talking
kerr had size talent and build to be the best of all time BUt his demons got the better of him.I do think Coleman had his number though if they fought because hes beaten him a few times in wrestling.Kerr seems like an all right guy Hope hes off the pain killers or whatever it was he was on
Just finished
Winston and Kaboom
Got shout outs
He came with stories
Robson and Lapenda both stole from him
SweeT
was big fan of early brazil fight cards and he had the best ones Did he do the shows were Oleg fought Ruas ?
on a side note theres a story Hugo Duarte knocked out Goes after Goes was talking about him and Walid ran from Hugo
He wants to do a pet 2
We might have touched 2 hours, he loved the process
