More ribbing from staff. Neat. Where do I pay my 30 bucks?

Parts Unknown - It's direspectful. Guys here talking shit about something they have zero practical experience with, especially considering who started this thread. Newsflash. It's takes a level of toughness and smarts to make it in pro wrestling that is foreign to 99% of the population. I'm guessing most of the basement dwellers here couldn't even get into the ring, with both Bella twins offering up themselves as incentive. It just makes MMA fans seem really, really ignorant. For the record, I have not watched wrestling on TV in over 10 years, nor have I bought a ticket to a live event. You are 100 percent correct
Parts Unknown -Careful guys Parts Unknown may be Papa Shango. Dude STFU and have a little fun.Crooklyn -

JitzInMyPants - I thought this thread was going to be regarding something to do this website.

We know it's still real to you but to get your wrestling trunks in a bunch over a little baby gif is just dumb. CM Punk looks legit worried on that pick and Kirik is not bashing him by showing it and neither is Crooklyn by showing a baby gif. Deal with it.
The Black Cheez -James Tony was a boxing champion who dedicated his life to a combat sport.Kirik -Fighter bashing is still fighter bashing. Ban yourself? No one gave a shit when James Tony fought for a lump some of cash and the match was over in like .02 seconds. At least give Punk the benefit of the doubt since he is actually training in the mixed martial arts.Parts Unknown - It's direspectful. It was gentle ribbing, not disrespect. If CM Punk just wanted to take an MMA fight, he could have done so as countless pro wrestlers have before him, in a regional promotion. Instead he determined to fight in the UFC. They had to take him, as if they didn't, Bellator would, opening a door the size they never imagined to a PPV.
CM Punk has no combat sports experience. So there is going to be some eyebrows raised and some ribbing, as there would be if Tom Cruise was accepted as a jet fighter pilot, based on his pioneering work in Top Gun.
CM Punk knows how to create drama, and likely appreciates the attention, whether it is pro or con. He didn't seem to like the drunk UGers at the UFC 182 Q&A, but then who did? :-)

No pal. It was real to me. As in concussions and feeling like you've been in a car wreck after a match. I took exception to the OP. Then we moved past it...then more from a staff member, and some mouth breathers.
I don't understand the mob mentality on these boards. I could understand it if I was calling people names etc, but I've been pretty civil. You guys are why fighters do not post here as themselves. I'm sorry if that doesn't sit well with you, but take a step back, look at this thread and be objective. You are why fighters lurk but don't make themselves known.
Kirik -
heh
Outlaw'd by Lytle - Pretty sure Punk would destroy Kirik in a fight.
I'm pretty sure he wouldn't, but would sure love to find out. Joe Silva, I am available :-)
Cowboysfuryhungjurry - Sorry that I'm an mma fan and i don't give two fucks what you fake wrestling defenders have to say. Then your opinion doesn't even matter to yourself. You're speaking just to speak, and being quite rude. It's okay, you're forgiven.
I truly don't even read it when you guys start ranting.

He's not a fighter until he fights. Maybe he'll get punched a few times in training and that is that. Who knows. But CM Punk is not a fighter, at least not yet.
I thought Toney had a shot at winning though, was pretty excited for it. So shows what I know.
whatislife -Holy SHIT HAHAHHAParts Unknown - Ya ya, pro wrestling is scripted. Unfortunately, the concussions and myriad of other injuries are not.
Most people posting here would not last past day one of a legit pro wrestling school, so how about we lay off the wrestling is fake stuff huh?
Calm down Hulk Hogan.
Kirik -Well you run a very prominent mma website. Do you have a fighting record? If not, it would seem like you'd be able to wage an effective campaign to make the fight happen, assuming you are around the same size as punk.Outlaw'd by Lytle - Pretty sure Punk would destroy Kirik in a fight.
I'm pretty sure he wouldn't, but would sure love to find out. Joe Silva, I am available :-)

Kirik -Whether you think he's a fighter or not, Punk is a martial artist and has been contracted by the UFC to compete. James Toney was set up to match against Randy Couture, are you expressing that you had high expectations for Toney? Toney was talking a lot of trash too, so I would think as a martial artist yourself, you'd have been excited about seeing him lose; which is probably the case regarding Punk. The Black Cheez -Kirik -Fighter bashing is still fighter bashing. Why is it okay for you to bash a person based on your opinion, yet Calo and other notable posters have been banned for talking about Dana White? Who, by the way is not a fighter.
Why all the negativity from the dude who is, like, the supervisor of this forum?
The Black Cheez -This. Punk has been nothing but respectful in every interview and mma snobs do nothing but talk shit. So why treat Punk any different, especially since Punk hasn't said an ill word against anyone?
