I really enjoyed the sub attempts (and finish) by Jacare, and the broadcasters sat there silent after the fight.
So many replay/highlight missed ops.
The broadcasters should have sold that fight, along with Jacare's performance, but they sat there silent.
Strikeforce undersells Jacare, the guy is talented full of grit, and comes to fight.
if jacare faces hendo they will make a lot of money. i am shocked that the legend glamcock isnt trying to get a comeback title shot against Ronaldo. He had the microphone and could have started hyin the event from cageside, before anny contracts where signed. frank shoulda walked up and slapped jacare inoki style....now THAT my friends would sell a "fight". put it on the same card as miller/diaz and ufc-brand is on the run!!!

I think Frank knows he has nothing for Jacare, he has agood gig and retirement seems to be treating him better than a emberassing beatdown.

Yep! hopefully Joe takes about it on his podcast or something. When someone is putting on the clinic jacare was; it's nice to hear some enthusiasm.
Jacare needs to get back to doing the gator crawl and his true fans need to do the snapping jaws bit. As much as it is a gimmick type of thing, it's still a signature and would help with a little Jacare brand recognition.

The crazy thing is, I didn't even notice they weren't giving him credit til I read this thread, and y'all are absolutely right. It's a shame too, and yes, hopefully Rogan mentions it on his podcast.

I am talking about the company, the promotion doing a better job of marketing Jacare. He does not need to speak English for the company to do a better job of promoting.
Jacare came across as very likeable when he apologized for not being able to speak the local language, but gave a sincere effort.
Now that you mentioned Japan, Jacare would be a hit for speaking the same level of Japanese in a post fight interview as he did English in last night's interview.
I agree Jacare is a potential star and it seems he gets little help from Strikeforce in he way of promotion. In fact, does any fighter get a serious promotional push from Strikeforce?
They seem to have a bare-bones staff and operate without a serious promo budgeting office.
This is where losing CBS really hurt. They were a ready source of pro promoters, producers, and event coordinators that had to be off immense help in promoting stars and events.
Promotion costs hard cash and it's an outlay that doesn't immediately bring cash in right behind it. It's an easy area to save money in, but how much does that cost you in the long-term?
sf broadcasters pick the wrong favorite and bank on him. they're a dear in headlights when something happens they dont expect

Jacare always has the crowd going crazy in Brazil during his BJJ matches back in the day. I remember watching a video with him VS Maia and the crowd was going nuts. He will keep winning which will gain him popularity and I think he could give the LHW division in strikeforce trouble too.
I think Pat might be partly to blame. He was understandably biased towards Lawler. Kinda affects the commentating. It happens in every promotion.
