Those of you who've seen dynamic bjj, what did you think? $40.00 is a lot of money to me at this point.
All of his tapes are very good.
I have a bunch of his sets. I agree. They're all very good, but I'm looking for something besides moves at this point. I have a ton of tapes full of moves already. Did this tape really help you who have seen it understand the game of grappling better?
The DVD highlighted alot of subtle transitions that made one black belt superior to the other black belt. A match would be shown in its entirety, then it would be shown again where Bolo breaks it down with commentary, sometimes in slow motion, sometimes with highlights on the screen. He explained things like weight shifts, hip placement, timing, etc., the things that need to be in place for a move to work on a high level guy.
This was an excellent DVD. I've never seen anything like it advertised on the market. It was well worth what I paid for it.
Awsome..sounds like what I'm looking for. Thanks for the info.
Jen's Dynamic Bjj DVD is indeed a very good DVD.
It will definitely help ones game because it allows you to get insight to tactics (which itself is different from techniques).
I think Rorion and Royce as well as Carlson Gracie Jr "tried" to do something like this on one of their tapes. BUT you can't really get the same analysis and feedback from a "stage" sparring session. Such analysis works only in a live sparring session where both participates are putting in true effort.
Incidently I think Rigan did an excellent job providing commentary and analysis for the Mundial fights on his triangle DVD (which is included with the book devoted to the Triangle).
Such commentaries really do make a difference. It brings to attention the right (and wrong) things fighters do in a live situation. You can learn directly from the accomplishments and mistakes of others. Expert commentary helps you to take note of things which you may otherwise miss.
It like how ex football players and coaches analyze various plays from various football games and explain why a play did or didn't work, how it was set up, and all the other dynamics involved. DVDs like Bolo's "Dynamic Bjj" and Rigan's commentaries on the Triangle DVD really are good things for students and fans of the sport.
Awesome DVD for the reasons mentioned. I hope there are more volumes in the future.
Yeah, i hope he makes more. Excellent dvd with great material.
She's ordered. Thanks all.
Very good DVD !
