It seems the fighters set to compete on the Gamebred Boxing 4 card this weekend will be receiving handsome pay packages.
The event, set for this Saturday, April 1, at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, will be the latest held by UFC superstar Jorge Masvidal’s promotion. It’s slated to air on UFC Fight Pass pay-per-view for $49.99.
The card will feature a host of familiar names. That includes in the headliner, which pits boxing great Roy Jones Jr. opposite former UFC champion Anthony Pettis.
José Aldo, another former titleholder on MMA’s biggest stage, will also be in action. “Junior” will face Jeremy Stephens in what will be the Brazilian’s second boxing match since his MMA retirement.
A number of other names familiar to UFC fans will also take to the ring, one of whom recently gave some insight into how the pay compares to the premier promotion in mixed martial arts.
In addition to former champion Vitor Belfort, Brazilian jiu-jitsu great Ronaldo “Jacaré” Souza, and Gina Mazany, Markus Perez will mark one of the ex-UFC athletes featured on this weekend’s Gamebred Boxing card.
Perez, who returned from a year-plus layoff in MMA this past January at AFL: Invincible 2023, described being approached about the upcoming event by Masvidal during a recent appearance on MMA Fighting’s Portuguese-language podcast, Trocação Franca.
The full fight card for Jorge Masvidal’s Gamebred Boxing 4 has been released with nine UFC alumni on the card.
Also familiar to UFC fans, promotional alumni Pearl Gonzalez and Gina Mazany square off. A bout between former UFC fighters Joe Riggs and Markus Perez is also scheduled.
