One thing I just can’t agree with Perretti on is his claim that Barreto was not a good fighter.
Its weird how he worships John Lober’s abilities but downplays Carlos Barreto.
Lober retired 5-9-4 in MMA.
Barreto KOed or submitted Ilyukhine, Bobish, Randleman, Varelans, Hinkle, Telligman, Rothwell and Hoffman and he fought prime Igor Vovchanchyn to a split decision loss in Igor’s last fight before Igor would beat Kerr the 1st time and become the uncrowned champ of PRIDE and the #1 HW in the world.
In the 90’s Barreto was one of the very best fighters on the planet and the proof is there.
Its crazy that escapes Perretti because he does not like Barreto’s style or he was not impressed with the Beneteau fight or whatever.

He also for some reason has a pathological hate of wrestlers, him shit talking Kevin Jackson’s fighting ability while he was wrecking John Lober and then saying “He’s controlling Lober but he can’t finish” 10 seconds before he floated over into an arm triangle is fucking hilarious. He should have never been on commentary.
