Johnson vs. Brenneman, Wiman vs Danzig 2.

The UFC has so many fighters ready to fight this October that they have no added a third event to the schedule.

Though no date, city or venue has been announced for it as of yet, the UFC revealed on Saturday that UFC on Versus 6 will come that month, and will feature a welterweight bout between Charlie Brenneman and Anthony "Rumble" Johnson, as well as a lightweight rematch between Matt Wiman and Mac Danzig.

Johnson was originally supposed to meet Nate Marquardt at UFC on Versus 4 last month before suffering an injury, and then Brenneman stepped in for Marquardt to face Johnson's replacement Rick Story on a day's notice. Brenneman's upset win has earned him a shot at another bigger name in the UFC's welterweight division, and Johnson will try to win his second straight since returning from a lengthy layoff in March.

Wiman and Danzig first met at UFC 115 last June, with Wiman earning a technical submission win when referee Yves Lavigne thought Danzig was choked unconscious. As it turned out, Danzig was not in danger of going to sleep and he immediately popped up and protested the decision. The two were then scheduled to rematch before each came up injured, and they've each had fights since then.

Danzig got back on track with a knockout win over Joe Stevenson in December, while Wiman added another win to his record over Cole Miller in January before dropping a decision to Dennis Siver earlier this month. Phone Post
