UFC on FOX 8 finally has a headliner, as UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson meets challenger John Moraga.
Additionally, a women's bout between Liz Carmouche and Miesha Tate has also been added to the card.
The additions were first reported by FOXSports.com and later confirmed by UFC officials.
UFC on FOX 8 takes place July 27 at Seattle's KeyArena. The evening's main card airs on FOX.

Man, I knew it would be this fight too. I'm still a little bummed though, especially with Benson kinda hinting at wanting to headline it. If I lived in Washington it would be no questions asked. I don't though and I'll have to fly from Alaska(like 3 hrs) + hotel. Johnson vs Moraga just isn't very motivating. Oh well though.

I doubt we ever see benson defending his title again on fox... if he cant pull on ppv now with 2 road to the octogan specials and 2 main event slots on fox then there's no point in wasting the fox space on him instead of someone who potentially can.
that's zuffa's strategy... build a new champ up on fox and move him to ppv.
I bet Dominick and the 135lb title takes his place.
If Benson cant pull 350k plus ppv buys now then he's a dud and you gotta wait for the next guy who beats him.

Plus you have to factor in its a summer card, males 18-35 go out in the summer, they wont have alot of promotion for the card.
You saw this past Fox card was great yet ratings were down from the NFL promoted card so do fans expect the UFC to put Anderson Silva on a Fox card in the summer or something?
This is a perfect summer Fox card, a title fight that wont do big buys, a great female fight to showcase them on network tv and two big WW fights.
Even if this card only does 3 million viewers thats good enough.
Decent card, but in my opinion they need to start branching out. If the FOX cards are meant to bring in new fans then why not put Silva or Jones on one of them, or even Cain again? Or even Aldo/Pettis? The long term gains would far outweigh the short term loss (no PPV revenue). It just seems silly to me that they keep using the same fighters (Benson, Mighty Mouse, Nate Diaz, etc).

I agree they need to start putting other fighters on Fox and they probably will in Dec but as much as we want it they are not putting Jones or Silva on Fox.
Sure it would probably do 10 million viewers for the main event but they need Silva and Jones and GSP and Cain to do the PPV buys, each of them do 500k buys or more a card.
Thats why they are putting the lower divs on Fox trying to make them a name to move them to PPV. So you get two Bendo and two MM fights to make them bigger names.
Next maybe you put Aldo or Cruz/Barao on Fox to try and do the same.
Cant keep doing LW/Fly they need to mix in some BW/FW and even Ronda though they feel she is a PPv draw so she wont be on Fox.
Had they gotten this TV deal years ago when they were doing 9 million buys a year they could afford to put a big star on Fox cause they were killing it in teh PPV market, now they need the few PPv stars they have to continue making that PPv money.
