Jon Jones Theorizes Why?

Jon Jones has shared his theory why some individuals do not consider him the greatest MMA fighter of all time.

If there is a classic debate going down regarding who is the greatest mixed martial artist ever, you can be sure Jon Jones’ name will pop up somewhere in the discussion. Whether it’s to place him at the top of the list, explain why another candidate edges him out, or even argue why he should be excluded completely because of past drug-test failures, it’s nearly unavoidable for Jones to go without a mention.

Jones himself has never been bashful about placing himself atop the GOAT list. And he’s also argued that he has been vindicated for each of his drug-test woes, in reference to independent arbitration stating that he never intentionally cheated or gained an unfair advantage over his opponents.

Jon Jones Cites Jealousy As Core Reason For GOAT Rejection

Regardless of the arguments presented for and by Jones, there remains the sect of the MMA community who continuously disqualify or simply deny him GOAT status. In a Twitter post published Friday morning, Jones gave one reason as to why he believes some of his peers fall into that group.

“It’s hard to see someone that you think you’re better than do such great things. Sit on that,” Jones posted in response to a fan who asked why some don’t want him to be the GOAT.

While the post may have indeed been directed at some of his fellow fighters who think they are “better” than him competitively, it just as easily could be in reference to anyone who think they are “better” than him in the general sense.

Jones has had his share of critics over his lengthy career, with the number growing with every malfeasance that has placed his personal life under continuous scrutiny. Nevertheless, as an athlete, Jones’ accomplishments are difficult to ignore.

Jones remains the youngest UFC champion in history, a record that has stood strong for 11 years, and he is easily the most dominant light heavyweight champion of all time with 11 successful title defenses.

Additionally, Jones has never lost a bout via decision, TKO, or submission, with the sole blemish on his record coming against Matt Hamill in 2009 via a hotly debated disqualification.

Jon Jones’ MMA career is not finished yet, however. He is expected to make his debut in the heavyweight division before the end of the year, with his stated preference in opponent being the consensus heavyweight GOAT: Stipe Miocic.

Im not Sure If Bones Nose what theorizes means

Ok, sure, Jon wrecked his Bentley at a strip club while driving on a suspended license. And yeah, later he rammed it into a pole with two strippers in the car and got charged with a DWI. And maybe they canceled UFC 151 because he refused to fight Chael. And ok, maybe he tested positive for cocaine after the first Cormier fight. And maybe before the first Cormier fight his testosterone levels were inhumanly low, which is indicative of PED abuse. And sure, he allegedly hid under the gym cage for 8 hours while hiding from USADA. And yeah, maybe he ran over a pregnant lady and fled the scene on foot, only to return and collect cash and drugs, and run away again. And sure, he got arrested for drag racing and violating his probation. And I know what you’re thinking, he got pulled from UFC 200 because he tested positive for steroids. And he did. But guess what? He came back and beat Cormier, but that was overturned because he failed another drug test for Turinabol. And yeah, sure, maybe he tested positive for steroids again and Nevada wouldn’t commission him and they had to move the PPV at the last minute so he could fight with steroids in his system. And yeah, he got arrested for punching his wife in front of his kids. And ok, maybe his absence the last few years is suspicious because they no longer announce drug test suspensions.

But for anyone to question ‘why’? Those people are just jealous. He’s a role model, and definitely not a sociopath incapable of self reflection.

He did PEDs. Someone who did PEDs to get where they’re at, shouldn’t be called the GOAT.

I love it when you do these posts.

To be fair he’s the GOAT ped user

To be fair, he saw some homeless guys and was just being nice to them. Treating them like human beings. He totally forgot about the gun under his seat , and the half empty bottle of booze in the passenger seat when he had started driving.

As much as I want to agree with you, it’s hard to when talking about MMA, a sport known for PED users. It’s safe to argue that any one of our favourite “clean” fighters could have actually been low key on the juice.

This guy just can’t handle anything but absolute praise from his fellow fighters all the way down to the lowest Twitter troll.

He’s definitely the GOAT of fragile egos.

This. What is that even supposed to mean?

lmao at Jon the victim Jones…he’s a PED abusing punk is why they dont consider him the goat. If it wasnt for him talking about himself on twitter as much as he does, its doubtful anyone would even talk about Jones. The undisputed PED user is what he is. Only fighter in UFC history who had his belt stripped TWICE for PEDs, a title fight cancelled the WEEK OF for PEDs, and popped for PEDs after his greatest KO…but sure, he’s the best

Only really because he’s done a lot of stupid shit in his personal life. Like a hit and run on a pregnant woman.
