Jones and Conor on big July PPV?

Everyone wants to fight on the International Fight Week PPV. It is historically the UFC’s biggest card of the year though the post-Christmas card and another one will sometime be just as big.

At any rate, Jones has said he wants a quick turn around and would be interested in July and Conor is an obvious choice.

Sounds like the sticking point with Conor is he wants to headline and UFC always headlines with title fights, something Conor is not getting. Conor demanding equity publicly, who knows what is going on behind the scenes.

DC vs Lesnar, Jones vs Santos, and Conor vs Diaz III is possible for the July PPV. If that were to happen, I’m sure it would break PPV records.

I do like that the UFC try to stack it for the hardcore fans, a couple years ago Mousasi vs Santos was a prelim.

Cejudo’s coach is saying they he wanted to see Cejudo vs TJ II for the BW title on that card.

Everyone always wants on that card, even the guys not getting PPV points like Cejudo.

Cejudo vs Benavidez II for FLW title or Cejudo vs Moraes for the BW title would be great on that card as well.

Thought I read Lesnars chance to fight was in March, and if not he was booked with WWE dates until end 2019?

“It kind of throws a wrench in our plans because we were really pushing for that International Fight Week, Henry vs. T.J.,” Cejudo said. “Especially if Conor McGregor was going to be on that card, that would have been something to be part of.”

I don’t know anything about the Lesnar stuff but I thought people on here said he was doing WM in April and it was after that when it would be figured out if he would do the DC fight.

200 had a lot of interest with Miller vs Gomi kicking things off.

The past couple have been a little flat, they had some weak fights on the cards considering its some big “supercard” by current standards. I hope this year they avoid fights like Trevin Giles vs James Bochnovic, Chad Laprise vs Brian Camozzi, Emily Whitmire vsJamie Moyle, those are Fight Night fights, not “supercard” fights.

Then again, 189 started with Cody Pfister vs Yosdenis Cedeno but all people remember is the second half of the card was awesome.

Lesnar is never fighting MMA again folks. Let it go.

238 will need a main event, maybe Jon will fight then or maybe it’ll be Nunez vs HH

Cejudo is a champion so I would assume he IS getting PPV points? I thought all champs do.

Don’t forget International Fight Week is 2 or 3 shows not just the Saturday PPV.

He 100% will fight, even if the UFC has to part ways with USADA

Doesn't he want a piece of the pie before he fights again?

I dont think dana and ari will ever set that precedent.

He has said that before and still fought after saying it. He also is down in value from his peak.

Both Conor and Dana said Conor is coming back in July. Conor is 100% going to headline the 4th of July card. Dana himself said they are waiting for the result of Holloway vs Poirier before proceeding with anything. It doesnt take Miss Cleo to know what's going to happen lol. I am willing to bet 100% that Conor's next fight will be a A MASSIVE rematch between winner of Holloway vs Poirier, Tony, or a wildcard Nate trilogy match up. These are 100% the candidates. Holloway/Poirier, Tony, Nate are the only ones in the running for the Conor sweepstakes. The winner of Conor's red panty night will be decided soon. Will be lots of fun speculating on who it will be, and then finding out who it will be.

I'm still putting my money on Conor vs Tony 4th of July weekend. THAT was always THE NEXT big mega fight in MMA. Tony is improving at a rapid pace, so I'm confident he can be ready by July. However, IF Holloway starches Poirier in impressive fashion and then calls out Conor on the mic after, all hell will break loose and thats going to turn INTO A MASSIVE massive REMATCH.  Conor will likely stop preparing for Tony and get ready to fight Holloway in that secenario. we will have to wait and see what happens. If Holloway losses then im 100% positive it will be Conor vs Tony. If Tony is not ready by July, then it will be Conor vs Nate trilogy. Fun times ahead thanks to Conor. MMA is at its most exciting when Conor is at the top.

Khabib isn't even in the picture. If that bum ducks the Conor rematch in the fall, strip his bum boring ass. KhaBUM already wants to retire anyway. Keep him away from the title picture. The great thing about Conor is that there are so many fights Conor has said he wants, it means Conor is going to stick around and keep competing "I owe Nate a trilogy. I would like to rematch Holloway. I want the KhaBUM rematch." meanwhile KhaBUM, "I want to retire off my 'win' over Conor"

true plus they can just make him vs Diaz the main event and do no other title fights, OR do him vs Khabib II and make i a title fight.

That not what Conor said, like at all. Fucking clickbait fans and sites misinterpreting what Conor said. Conor is NOT demanding anything. Conor is simply RESPONDING to the fact that that piece of shit Ari wanted to put Conor in a co-main event spot. Conor was saying, "if you want me to fight in the co-main event to push your brand>fighter rhetoric, fine I will do it, just give me shares. If you give me shares, I will even fight on espn+" lmao haha. This is very reasonable. More people should be supporting Conor against any promotion too. Very sad to see the sad current state of affairs when they are actually some mouth breathers out there defending the promotions instead (that goes for bellator fanboys too)

here is the difference between Lorenzo and Ari. Lorenzo was a real genuine dude who never tried to downplay just how significant Conor was to the UFC. Lorenzo was the best. He truly cared for fighters and fighter pay. Lorenzo wouldve given Conor shares. Fuck Hollywood scumbag liberal Ari. you never know what you got until it gone..Fans dont know how good we all had it under Lorenzo. Lorenzo was real. Ari is a corporate toolbag and Hollywood liberal

You Know what would be incredible!? If Conor was there live attending Holloway vs Porier. Imagine Conor coming into the ring after to meet the winner??? My God that would break the internet. The Hype would be insane.

Tapology is showing Shevchenko vs Eye booked for 238. Would not be surprised if they go with that.

I guarantee Jones management will push hard to get him paired up with Conor to get the cut of that big PPV in July.

Cejudo will probably get stuck on that Shevchenko card.
