Josh Barnett Is STILL The Man

Great fight, hope to see both in the UFC soon (at least as soon as their broken hands heal).

I'm totally surprised that Josh hung in there and took those shots.

I bet 500 on Cormier and 500 on the fight ending before 3rounds. Damn almost had a free vacay!

I hope he continues to fight. That was the best I've ever seen him, even in defeat. Great conditioning .... Phone Post

lenz0799 - why why why do you all love Barnett so much? Cause he squeaked a split decision once to nog? or beating rizzo at a time when it means nothing?

Seriously this guy hasn't done shit since 2002.

He's a one trick pony in a MMA scene where one trick ponies are quickly going extinct.

Wiki shows his first pro fight was in 1997. After all this time he can't out-strike a wrestler who's been training MMA for 3 years? Hell he couldn't even come close to subbing him in 5 rounds. One weak leg lock attack was it.

Sure I liked watching him 10 years ago, but come on.

Nobody with half a brain would put this guy top 5, shit even top 10 is a stretch.

My god you're retarded... Phone Post

I think you just answered your own questions.

Barnett is of an older guard while Cormier is todays.

It is basically because he is old school, tries to be funny and fought in PRIDE.  UG's ultimate dream fighter (outside of Chael).  I'm mean, the man has tested positive THREE times (a MMA record!) and the UG acts like it is no big deal.

Have to respect Josh's toughness and perseverance. Guy had a broken hand (as did Cormier) and was clearly pretty badly hurt at points in the fight, but he kept attacking. Tough, tough guy right there.

Both those guys are warriors and showed it last night. Great fight. Phone Post

I got Josh winning the rematch in the +1 fight!

THIS ISNT OVER BITCHES!!!

WAR WARMASTER!!!
