Props to both guys. Josh showed us he is a BMF for taking all that punishment and not wilting. He kept moving forward and was actively trying to win the fight. Great main event!

Right because Frank Mir, Struve and Mark Hunt (beaten easily by Barnett) are so much better. Other than Cain (and MAYBE Werdum) who is really more proven than these guys? Mir would get finished by Cormier in one round.

Props to the Warmaster. Broken left hand from round 1 and kept fighting his ass off and made no excuses. You have got to be impressed with Cormier tonight. I think besides the broken hand, we saw Josh in the best shape he's been in in a long time. This was huge for him. Shit, he weighed in at 248. He's always 260+. He'll be back and I hope he gets another shot in the UFC. There are a lot of great matchups for him there.
We see so many heavyweight fights where the guys are worn down by the end of the first and both these guys fought hard through five. (okay, smart cruising for Cormier in the 5th, but not bad gaming). Call it four, but even in the fifth nobody's hands were on their knees.

Anyway, that was an awesome HW fight. I'm having a hard time remembering the last time I saw Heavyweights push a pace like that for 5 rounds. Fedor-Cro Cop in 2005 maybe? Although that was for 20 minutes and not 25. Both fighters deserve huge props for a great fight. Cormier put on a star-making performance but Barnett pushed him every step of the way.
I'm having a hard time thinking of 5 HWs I'd pick to beat Barnett right now, much less Cormier. I'd favor JDS, Alistair and probably Cain, but everyone outside of that would be in for a long night with Barnett.
