Once again the 2004 Joslin’s Canadian Open Grappling Tournament takes place on Sunday November 7th, 2004 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The event will be held at Sherwood High School. Last year we had over 300 competitors from Canada and the United States make the trip to compete for the Joslin’s Customized Canadian Open CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS! This year looks to be even better.
We offer divisions for Adult Men, Adult Women and Children. These categories are divided by experience level and weight. Men and Women may compete in both the Gi divisions and the NO-Gi Divisions. All children fight with the Gi, and their divisions will be determined on the day of the event based on Age/Experience/Weight.
The Pre-registration price for this event is $45 ($35 U.S. funds) for one event + $20 for the second event. This includes a coupon for a ½ price Joslin’s Canadian Open T-Shirt. Pre-Registrations must be post-marked before October 23rd, 2004. If you wait until the day of the tournament to Register the price is $45 ($35 U.S funds) for one event + $30 for the second event (with no coupon for T-shirt). The fee for spectators is $10.
This year we have added some extra mat space and some additional women’s divisions (115lbs and under, 115-145lbs. and 145lbs + Note: These division are subject to change on the day of the tournament depending on the number of competitors in each) to make the 2004 Canadian Open an enjoyable experience for all who attend.
