Judo in L.A.?

"I've heard that Sawtelle Judo Dojo is pretty good from a few BJJ'ers who went there to learn some tachiwaza.

2110 Corinth Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90025 310-478-2411 "

I was going to suggest this same place. I hear it's a solid judo club with bjj guy.

Hayastan Judo. We have about 10 judo black belts. Almost all of them are in the 160-170 pound range.

if you are a heavyweight and just want to spar without lots of technical
teaching, tenri is good. its a great place to go if you have another dojo to
train technique and want to go there for some good sparring.

if you can make the travel, mojica's, which is in west covina is great. they
train very hard with conditioning and drills.

sawtelle is also good.....so is venice in that area.

there are lots of good dojos in l.a.

Where is that place in West Covina? I live in Monrovia so it's not that far of a drive. Thanks.

The dojo in West Covina is really nice. Like Sawtelle, it's in a Japanese cultural center. Both of them are cool for beginners on up. Tenri, from what I understand, is better for advanced judoka than beginners.

I wish I remembered the address for the West Covina dojo, but I'm sure you can look it up.
