Judo sub systems/styles question?

I was reading several article about Kawaishi Judo(French Judo) and it appears it has a very different curriculum than Kodokan Judo and includes many forbidden techniques like leg locks & neck locks. I have heard of Kosen Judo which is very different from Kodokan but how many other styles follow their own way?

I am only familiar with what is called "Freestyle judo". Which allows leg attacks and considerable time on the ground. And restarts on the ground. They throwing skills I have observed on youtube video's are the least developed. It basically ends up in a newaza ground contest. So it appeals to wrestlers and BJJ players.

judoblackbelt the AAU allows certain techniques and grabbing of the pants. So many competitors want that rule to be gone now.
