There has actually been research done on this. Fighters who smile at the stare down usually lose the fight. When in doubt, bet on the serious psycho, not the smiling clown.

Considering how many high-pressure situations Kedzie's been in (like say, fighting Gina Carano in the first U.S. televised WMMA fight in history with Showtime giving an edict that if the fight wasn't good, they wouldn't air another), and the fact that her legacy is relatively secure, not to mention she has multiple jobs even if the UFC doesn't pan out, it's pretty hard to take her silly-face reaction as a sign that she was secretly quaking on the inside against a Flyweight decision-machine. Hell that would be a hard conclusion to come to even if I knew nothing about the situation. But I suppose each will have their own interpretation.

I can't believe I'm doing a play-by-play of an 8-second .gif posted on the previous page, but let's walk through that again:
-Kedzie walks up to Correia.
-Correia tries to mean-mug Kedzie.
-Kedzie tries to mean-mug back and then just starts grinning like she's suppressing the urge to laugh.
-Correia tries to juke her and comes about an inch-and-a-half from Kedzie's face in the process.
-Kedzie does not back up even a millimeter, then makes a silly face and puts her hand over her mouth in a clear mock expression like she's dealing with a child.
I dunno who's going to win today, but Correia got completely shot down at the staredown by veteran pro Kedzie. It's plain as day to everyone here but you. Then again maybe you're a genius and everyone here but you is wrong.
