Ken Shamrock vs. Robert Berry

UFC hall-of-famer Ken Shamrock (26-12-2), who recently inked a deal with Elite Xtreme Combat the same day his 19-year-old son Ryan signed, will take on Robert Berry (11-7) at Cage Rage 25 in March.

The announcement was made by Cage Rage at cagerage.tv. The U.K.-based fight promotion was recently acquired by Pro Elite, Inc., which is EliteXC's parent company.

"EliteXC Presents: Cage Rage 25 -- Bring It On!" takes place March 8 at Wembley Arena in London, England. The Shamrock-Berry fight will likely earn main-event status.

Berry, a seven-year professional, fights out of England and has spent most of his career with Cage Rage. Oddly, in 18 professional fights, only one -- his very first fight -- lasted more than one round. Seven of the heavyweight's 11 victories have come via knockout.

Berry has lost three of his past four fights, and four of his past six.

Shamrock, one of the first inductees into the UFC Hall of Fame, has been fighting professionally for nearly 14 years and competed in the very first UFC event. The submission specialist left the UFC for six years but ultimately returned to fight nemesis Tito Ortiz and to coach a team on "The Ultimate Fighter 3" in 2006. He's since severed ties with the UFC, and in an explosive interview with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) back in October, he claimed that UFC President Dana White forced him into retirement and that he never intended to quit fighting.

Ryan Shamrock (1-0) is also slated to fight on the March 8 card, though the bantamweight's opponent has not yet been named.

Definitely a fight to get Shamrock back in the win column. Good. Hopefully he does.

LOL. Buzz Berry is to cage Rage what Shamrock was to UFC. IT's basically Ken fighting a shitter version of himself.

a good warm up fight for ken in the new org. dont blink cause ken is going to finish this fast!!

I dont know nothing about Berry, but Ken will lose.

Somebody, my heart

"Ryan, MY HEART!!!"

"OH NO PA' PA!"

Little does Ken know that England's notoriously bad food will be his downfall. TTT for bland steak and chicken.

good point not monty but I bet ken brings his own supply in some coolers

Will this be the first card that has ever had a father and son competing on it?

nope I heard cole miller and his dad fought on the same card before
