He finished this fight before he even got into the octagon......nice!
that blows, i was really looking forward to that fight. I hope Kenny heals up quick
Switch Gomi from fighting Guida to Dunham and have Guida fight Barboza
barboza would be a sick replacement
sots could get this fight if he wants it. dana loves guys who want to fight and just like saunders/fitch, he could get it. sanchez would be an awesome match too or someone from the wec they acquired. razor rob or ceronne or varner
caposa - see Sotiropolous/Dunham would be the fight to make here, but instead Sot is stuck with a pointless fight against Siver for the Australia card
THIS
NateTurnedMaiaLightsOff - <span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 20px; font-size: small; "><h1 style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; background-image: url(http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/images/layout/header-mainMenu-bg.gif); font-style: normal; font-size: 18px; color: rgb(255, 255, 255); padding-top: 6px; padding-right: 3px; padding-bottom: 6px; padding-left: 6px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; font-weight: normal; background-repeat: repeat repeat; ">C. Oliveira</h1></span>
Would be an epic fight, but UFC will want to bring both of them along a little bit more. They won't want to derail one of their prospects. Oliveira is a beast and the fight would be a barnburner though.
Move GUIDA vs GOMI to main event
have Dunham vs Lauzon as co-main
Ghan - Dunham vs Cerrone would blow my mind and SURELY be crowd pleasing.
that was my pick as well. cerrone is a sick fighter. dunham is right there at the cusp too. (dunham vs sots is really a great match up too). losing a split decision to sherk is nothing to be ashamed of. still undefeated really.
AC Slater - Move Guillard up to the main event. He's already supposed to fight Edwards on the undercard, he has name value, he's on a hot streak, and he's headlined UFN's before. Not to mention I would imagine it to be quite difficult to get a top tier LW to agree to such a dangerous fight on 1 1/2 month's notice.
And say what you want about his past couple of fights (boring? LOL) but he's been fighting smart and winning. A scrap against Dunham would be a good one and would push the winner closer to a title shot.
Although a Sherk rematch would be more than welcome.
nice call
wonder if it's another switcheroo tactic. Maybe that Aldo/Florian fight IS actually going to happen?
