US Grappling presents our next event for children and teens (ages 4-17) only on Saturday, August 15, 2009. This Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (gi) and Submission Grappling (no gi) tournament will be held at Patrick Henry High School in Ashland, VA, just minutes north of Richmond, right off of Interstate 95.

Major credit cards are now accepted during Friday night weigh ins and at the venue.
In order to even out the divisions, US Grappling has added another skill level for children and teens. The new skill levels are:
- Children Beginner (training less than 1 year) – Note: No submissions.
- Children Intermediate (training from 1-3 years)
- Children Advanced (training more than 3 years)
- Teen Beginner (training less than 1 year)
- Teen Intermediate (training from 1-3 years)
- Teen Advanced (training more than 3 years) – Note: Teens who have been awarded an adult blue belt must compete in the advanced no gi division
- Teen Blue Belt (Gi only, competitors must be 16 years old and have been awarded an adult-level blue belt)
Match Lengths
Beginner: Children - 3 Minutes, Teen - 4 Minutes
Intermediate: 4 Minutes
Advanced: 4 Minutes
Teen Blue Belt: 6 Minutes
