He opened his school in Belgrade, Mt. Population 12k people. It’s only 10 minutes from Bozeman but that seems like a hard place to keep the doors open.

Over 100K pop. in that valley, plenty to draw from, MSU enrollment is close to 20k IIRC, lots of trust fund kids all over that fucking county, it’s a good market for him IMHO.

He’s in a wonderful position where he can basically go wherever he wants & teach anywhere. He always will. He needs to find a stout athletic lady & start popping out the next generation though. Ending the Rickson family tree would be a shame.

I live in Bozeman, 100k in Gallatin County is about right, with about 20k students at MSU.
The thing is MMA, BJJ, and grappling isn’t big here yet. Barely any places show the fights. SBG Bozeman is closer to campus than Kron’s and they don’t get that many college kids, even with the loose ties to Conor that place is barely getting things going.
Kron will be fine out here, plus who doesn’t love Montana (if you can leave at least twice during winter). It will just take some time but he will make it. Bozeman and Belgrade are growing massively in releative terms. This place will not look the same in 5 years.

College kids don’t produce bjj revenue. I love BJJ and I love Montana but I don’t see him making it long term through a school.
