When preforming this technique does your back hit the ground first or is it your opponents?

It honestly doesn't matter which hits first.

I prefer to land on my shoulder... that way, if it turns into a scramble, I have a better chance of getting out and on top =)

I don't think using your feet to 'sweep' is illegal in wrestling, I have done it once or twice and no ones ever said anthing to me about it.
