Two guys with about the same aggressive pace.
Both are threatening BJJ'ers, and both have upper tier striking emerging.
Pettis is flashier and thinks out the box
Joe's technique execution is pin point.
Unless some bizarre stalemate situation happens, I think this will easily have to be an early favorite for fight of the night at least, on a night where theres several amazing fights that could provide contenders for that crown.
I'm as hyped about this fight as I am about the championship fight.
I can totally see a draw or razor thin decision happening. I wish already it was scheduled for 5 rounds.
and neither are Jackson guys so it appeals to the people that currently want him tried for war crimes against fighting or even lynched.
TheSaver - Lauzon chokes on the big fights should by FOTN though.
Be.
But yeah, historically Joe hasn't shown up when he needed to most. Here's hoping that changes!

Melvin Guillard was a huge fight and he beat him in under a minute

Nah, that's silly talk, beating Guillard was hugely important for him. And obviously beating Pulver was a high pressure situation as well.
Lauzon's problem is that he's a 1-round fighter. He's very very good in the 1st round, but gasses and fights much worse in later rounds. Pettis has excellent cardio from what we've seen - he went 5 rounds with the relentless Bendo.

Yeah this is what I'm thinking, I think Joe is on the best run of his career now and its going to take a crazy out of the box offence from Pettis to beat him.
Which is why I'm so hyped.
it'll be a dogfight
