There are a few good documentaries about him. his life would make for a great movie plot
He might have struggled to pass USADA but I wouldāve loved to see him in the modern ufc!

When he had his one UFC fight, this whole forum was like half Lee Murray threads. People were really excited about him. Then he fought and lost to Anderson Silva in Cage Rage (I think) and then came the stabbing and he was out of the news for a while but everyone expected him to get his career back on track at some point. Turns out Lee had other plans to secure his financial future.

Lee was definitely juiced up. He and his āenforcerā here were surely on the same stuff. Big time drug dealers need to look as big and intimidating as possible, and they have all the money for the best juice. Add in the lax drug testing in MMA back then and thereās no reason for him NOT to be on the juice.
The video is gone from YouTube now, but in his fight with Alex Reid, Lee looked like a massive bodybuilder, and he gassed out very early, kept turning away from the ref and eventually got DQāed. I think he got the vid removed.

I remember he was supposed to be the next big thing. He KOād Tito in a street fight, as much as Tito denies it. He had a fight in the UFC lined up, I want to say it was against Jorge Rivera, but he couldnāt get a visa in time and almost got stabbed to death around then. Tough guy. Dana White once said something like how Murray was one of the scariest people heād been around, and he wasnāt talking in terms of his fighting skills.

If they set up the right matches for him he wouldāve been a star. The brash Brit trash talk & street fights galore. Solid hands in the cage. Heās like a Guy Ritchie character so heād be a star.
