Tim Boetsch was tailor made for Lombard... Okami was having his way with Boestch.... Then you add in the fact that Tim broke his foot. How can he lose a decision?
it's pretty clear lombard is not a top 5 MW... he's better off going down to 170 and working on his cardio and footwork.
lombard is a beast at 170... a puppy at 185.
Maybe this loss is good for him, he knows now that hes going to haveto step up his training, maybe this will light a fire under him. I hope so, he has the potential to really shake up the middleweight division, maybe even welterweight but we will see

Giving Boetsch to Lombard was the biggest gift-wrapped addition to Lombard's highlight reel. This was such an easy fight for Lombard to get an easy victory over a illegitimate top 10 opponent and push him into title contention.
Lombard is still good and I think he would fair better against Anderson than Boetsch, but still, he choked on the biggest fight of his career and didn't show anything that made him stand out as a threat to any of the other top MWs in the ufc

I agree that the fight was disappointing, but also know that nerves had to be a big part. Tim is a very tough opponent. Honestly think that Lombard won the fight though.
