Awesome ep. Had to listen to this one right away. Hopefully he comes back he could do several more episodes to cover his career and stories.
Some great insight on this one. Carlos Newton broke his jaw at UFC 17… That was pretty crazy to hear. Both the Goes and Newton fights were wars back then.
He made $230K for winning the 1999 Rings Tournament in Japan which is a wild payday for the time and almost still even now decades later lol
Hendo on Bisping being mad at his logo with Hendo in the air after knocking out Bisping, “I’m not sure why he is mad, he’s not even in the logo… I could make a Chalk line on the ground below it…” LOL that was said in true cold killer Hendo fashion
The Alexis Dufresne question at the end was fantastic
I like that Dan pretended to have no idea when asked if they trained her to beat up Sugar Free for Randy
Lol
Mike’s response “Not sure if that was set up by design…” moving on lol
I remember when that went down
There was a celebration after that fight took place
Nice work marking all of the chapters in the time codes. Great shows!
I guess Mobile, AL didn’t have great medical care in 1998.
ttt
dig the show
guess they got rid of bodog guy?
its funny to hear mike mispronounce so many fighters names
hahahahahahhaha
They had a falling out.
That sucks to hear. I liked Miguel on there and he would ask some questions I was thinking that were different from Mikes so it was good to have him on there. Also the matchmaker perspective was interesting especially when fighters like Eddie Alvarez are on that he matched up before
He’s still on my shows regularly.
