Can you imagine flying to Brazil in order to fight Wanderlei???
Thats Funny !
What’s crazy is that Babalu was constantly punking Ortiz out
Both on camera and off
The UFC made Babalu fight Lidell 2x without ever a conversation of Ortiz
Tito was playing up his bad boy image and Babalu was threatening gay sex (with or without condom)
Tito never responded… it was interesting
@anon9395084 how in the fuck do you remember that… and then accurately equate it to Adrian Serrano
Dude, there is some legit brilliance in this place
Enjoying this one!
@LytesOutPodcast who was that fighter you had mentioned early in this ep that went overseas to compete and passed away? The story sounds familiar but I don’t know the details
Edit: It was Douglas Degdge… you fact checked yourself at the end of the episode I should’ve finished before posting lol another good episode!
That’s crazy and really sad but it’s history. Thanks for posting I’m going to do a deep dive on it later
Supposedly Dedge did not pass medicals to fight but fought anyway. Others claim there were no medicals… RIP Dedge… too tough for your own good.
Watching that footage it looks really familiar now and looking at that Card where it happened, Alexei Olenik was on it who still fights today which is crazy and they like the other Kiev show looks like they borrowed HEAVILY on the UFC’s graphics lol
That’s INSANE… a guy that fought back then is still fighting!? WTF
