Rory MacDonald vs James Wilks in the works for UFC 129 in Toronto
After being forced to sit on the sidelines, Rory “The Waterboy” MacDonald is set to jump back inside the octagon, at UFC 129 in Toronto.
Numerous sources have informed that MacDonald (10-1) and James “Lighting” Wilks (7-4) have verbally agreed, to square off inside the octagon, on Saturday, April 30th, at The Rogers Centre in Toronto.
Wilks, the season nine welterweight winner of The Ultimate Fighter, will be looking to rebound from a disappointing loss at UFC 120, suffered at the hands of another Canadian, Claude “The Prince” Patrick.
As for Rory, a knee injury forced him to withdraw from his UFC 123 bout vs Matt Brown, where he was hoping to rebound from the first loss of his career, a TKO finish that came courtesy of Carlos “The Natural Born Killer” Condit, at UFC 115, in June.
Many more bouts for UFC 129, are expected to be announced shortly, so stay tuned and be sure to follow me on twitter ( twitter.com/showdownjoe) to be kept up to date on the latest MMA news.
