We had a great afternoon of fights with 130+ competitors that left everything on the mats! Congrats to Joy milan , Aj Scales and Kyle Cardinal for their wins in the superfights! Congrats to Alex Popov, the kid won everything and beat a tough Cris Fontaine in the finals to take the Open Class No Gi, ths only shows the talent we have here in Winnipeg, props to Curtis Brigham and his crew that did really well. Congrats to all my guys and sorry that i could't coach no one, i was so busy with thte tournament i had no time. Thx to all Volunteers, Candy, Doug, Ed, Dan, Joy, Jerin, Pizza, Curt and all the guys that helped with anything we asked. I do apologize for some mistakes in refeering, a lot of the guys are just learning how to do it but next time we should do better, and if someone thinks i comited any i do apologize, it takes a split second to make a good or bad call. I'd like to add my thanks to Rodrigo's for everyone who helped make this event happen. Some of you didn't even know you were going to be volunteering until I stuck a timer in your hands!

Thanks also for everyone's patience and goodwill. It was our first time out for this sort of thing and I promise it will only get better.

And on a personal note, I'd like to thank Bridget, Sheena, Parminder and Laura for getting together for such an awesome women's division. You girls are the best and it was great fun competing with you!

Tourny was really good, great turnout and some great matches.

I hope it only gets bigger and better, good luck with the next one, we will all be there!

I didnt know the dude i was competing againts was a former lineman for the Blue Bombers until the day of! big dude one of the strongest mofos iv'e ever rolled with took me five minutes to ajust to his strength, other then that Rodrigo had a huge event and we cant wait till the next one! and good job to Tarik Bramwell from Let's Roll againts Aj Scales ! they went 10 minutes and in overtime aj got atakedown for 2 and that was all she wrote!

2 other competitors from let's roll Mike king won his gi division by submitting 11 out of 12 fights. and benny kroza took second in his nogi div.
