Mark Kerr has an incredible wrestling background and was one of the true godfathers of MMA. Mark was fighting in MMA events around the world before most even knew what MMA was.

3x 90,91,1992 EIWA Champ(big east champion), 1992 NCAA Champion 190lbs, 1993 World team trials champion, 1994 National freestyle champion, 1994 World cup champion, 1994 silver medal Goodwill games, 1995 Sliver medal pan-am games, 1995 Freestyle Nationals second place, 1996 Olympic alternate. Assistant coach at Syracuse University from 1993-95.
Mark Kerr's first professional MMA fight was at the World Vale Tudo Championship III, where he won three fights. In the first, he broke his hand but continued to fight against Paul Varelans winning via TKO by strikes. In the second, his opponent Maestre Hulk literally crawled out of the ring to avoid Kerr's brutal ground-and-pound. In the final match, a savage half hour brawl, he punched (with a broken hand), kneed, head-butted and elbowed his way to a victory over Fabio Gurgel.
Mark Kerr then joined the UFC and became the Heavyweight tournament Champion at UFC 15. Mark then decided to fight in Japan and fight for the Pride Fighting Championship. Many considered Kerr to be the best MMA fighter in the world at that time.
Mark's seminar at Siege will be for children ages 5 to 17. It will be from 9:00am to 1:00pm. The cost will be $30 for pre-registration and $40 at the door. This seminar will be open to the public, including people outside of Siege, so please spread the word.

Kerr is a really personable guy and probably good with kids. Didn't he beat Angle during the college days? I bet he has a ton of knowledge to pass on. TTt
