Matt Brown and Satoshi Ishii

Training at Central Oahu Jiu-jitsu in Wahiawa. Anyone else see them around the island?

Side note saw Bethany Hamilton in Haleiwa. (The surfer chick who had her arm taken by a shark)

Jay-dog, so you've made your home Central Oahu JJ? Congrats man, solid bunch of guys and coaches...

No sightings for this family man though... Prolly not in the right places to see them lol...

Jay, congrats on finding your school. Great school, great guys.

"hands up, hands up!!!" - Haru

And I saw Ishii last week sitting across the table from me eating a Poke bowl at Paina cafe. It was like a date but the No Homo rule was in effect.

Yeah I was there watching that day got off work early and popped in. Didnt have any gear but tomorrow night Im headed down there to train... Would be very cool to say I rolled with Ishii, if I survive it. :)

Oh and thanks Jimmy and Katsumoto! Also realized I live walking distance fom Mad Tiger now that I moved to Mililani so I would like to train there as well.

MT and central are the same asso. So it will be a good place for you good luck on your training and your roll with ishii

^ Yeah I heard some one refer to cenral as a sister school of MT so I thought it would work well. Thanks for the well wishes!

Heard a Matt Brown story that was kinda fukt.

But with respect to participants and heresay i'll just save it and say "maybe" he needs to learn more aloha.

Comeon Sub Tell the story. change the names, Call him Matt Black or Matt Battle, whatever, let's hear it!

maybe the dude was going too hard? maybe Matt didn't realize he hurt his sparring partner? maybe he's just a cock-faggit-douche?

little more detail Sub, please.

if i could last a round sparring with him, it be nothing but WIN even if my ride home involed sirens, lights and medical jargon.

Nah it was just a hard day of sparring at HMC. Masa who weighs all of 155 was taking it to him. Matt gave him a kick to his ribs and it broke two of them. Masa said that he has problems with those ribs often, but Masa is also one tough S.O.B. so he could have been lying. Either way, I think Matt was throughly impressed with the level at HMC and so he took it up a level in order to compete. 145 pound Sahdu Bott was standing toe to toe with him. It was a fun night. Matt doesn't seem like anything out of your ordinary haole guy from the mainland who comes to HMC and after sparring realizes that we aren't a very star struck type of school. Seemed actually pretty cool to me. Ishii is a beast that needs a lot of work on his stand up. He is living here in order to train with Haru and fight out of HMC. When he left Japan, the Japanese media cornered him at the airport and asked him where he was going....He said"To Hawaii to train with Haru Shiminishi and fight for HMC." I thought that was pretty cool.

^^^Thx for the insight Hayn.

The story i was told, from a mutual fren, was that Masa was really in bad shape after the rib breakage, and Matt didn't seem too concerned...

i guess it's maybe how things are interpreted. Anyway thanks for the post!

Finally back on the mats today... really like the environment at Central!!! Need so much work but loved it.

Watched Ishii spar but he did not stay for jiujitsu. :(

at least Ishii realizes he needs to train outside of the Japan.
