I don't know if the UFC is trying to incite a riot by booking Matt Riddle on the London show but this is a very foolish decision. Matt Riddle is persona non grata in the United Kingdom, people here literally spit on the floor when they hear his name. We don't like potheads here, and we don't like people who insult our country.
We also don't like imbeciles. Matt Riddle didn't know that jet-lag was a real thing until 2009.
Remember what happened last time Matt Riddle came to the UK? He got his ass beat by Nick Osipczak, and he got figuratively piddled on. He was sent home with his tail between his legs and told not to come back. By accepting this fight, Matt Riddle has caused great offence.
He won't be welcome at Heathrow airport, he won't be welcome on the taxi ride, he won't be welcome at the hotel, he won't be welcome in the gym and he sure as hell won't be welcome in Wembley Arena on February 16. He is not welcome in the UK, and this time Che Mills is going to serve up a public humiliation even worse than the last time Matt Riddle was here. He will be cheered on wildly as he delivers an epic beating, Riddle will be publically flogged by our chosen representative.

Let me just preface this by saying I'm from the UK.
I don't care if Riddle said "Butter toothed Brits" at a press conference one a couple months ago because I know all he was trying to do was set up a fight with Hardy which would be a huge opportunity and payday for him. I don't see anything wrong in a guy trying to better his career by talking some trash. Hell, Chael Sonnen made a living out of it and everyone loves him.
The point is, Riddle always brings it. He is consistently exciting and he also went on and on about how much he loved the UK and the UK fans DESPITE some cunt spitting on him the last time he fought here. As long as Riddle puts on a good fight, he is fine in my book.
