Canelo is the future. Mayweather is the present.
LMFAO, how the hell did these get posted here haha! I was posting these on a thread I made in the OG but I'll leave em here too
deadlysyn - I am the only one that thinks this? For the level of boxer the Canelo is supposed to be he looked terrible boxing Mayweather. Low percentage of head shots, he had many opportunities to cut Mayweather off and trap him in the corner, there was one point where he clearly had a load right hand that he could have thrown on a cornered Mayweather and didn't. And the final round where everyone and his mother knew Canelo was down on the cards he fought with zero sense of urgency. It's hard for me to swallow this being a legit fight.
I agree, I was thinking almost the exact same thing.
All sports have some corruption, a lot of money involved. Its expected, just sad to see it.
If you think Canelo was good enough to even bother FM, let alone beat him, then you know nothing about boxing.
The fight went the way it was supposed to; Canelo being exposed as out of his depth, and FM counter-punching and evading his way to a majority points decision.
The only weird thing tonight was the idiot judge who scored it a draw. At best, it was 10-2 rds, and that's being generous.
Pretty big compliment to floyd
They were not boxing, they were dancing. I would of thrown right hooks to Mayweather's chin all day. He did nothing to try to win, just stayed busy.
Vulva Fabulous -Exactly, if Canelo went to the chest Ray Longo style Floyd would have gotten finished.

Vote me down -Its cause he was hyped up so much you believed it. Canelo fought one good guy...... Really he only fought one really good boxer........ Bums gettin hyped and yall getting fooled. Money all day.

Canello is the mexican Ricky Hatton at this point. Simply too early in his career to fight someone like Floyd.
Still no one that disagrees with me addresses any of my concerns. I'm not even talking advance boxing here I'm talking basics and being that I do a bit of boxing and I'm no where near the level of where Canelo is I don't understand what he did in the fight or what even the game plan was. And for any of you to even say well that's just what Floyd does is make people fight out of their game I disagree at least with this fight because Floyd did not spectacularly dominate Canelo it was an out pointing here and there. So to say that Canelo broke down doesn't add up he's had what 40 fights I think that enough experience to have a bit more composure. And on top of that what is the game plan??? Like seriously did they not study the way he fights and develop something for that?

Floyd beat Canelo in every aspect of the fight. Plus he beat him weighing almost 20lbs less then him.
This was the biggest fight of Canelo's life. Do you not think him and his team didn't study the shit out of Floyd for months and come up with a plan?
That's why Floyd is so good and like any great champion before him, they can adapt to any style to beat their opponents
Seriously if you can't understand that I don't know what else to say to you.

Vote me down -I believe the term is woof tickets

People who don't understand boxing don't understand what makes Floyd so good. Watch when Canelo would start to throw a punch, Floyd takes a half step back to make the distance change where Canelo either misses big or has to reset to try and punch. Then once Floyd makes him reset a couple times, when Canelo thinks Floyd is going to step back again, Floyd instead strikes foreward and catches Canelo. And when Floyd's sets himself in front of Canelo his is still moving his head side to side, using his legs moving up and down, never giving Canelo a chance to get comfortable and see an open shot. This stuff age on Canelo's mind, and after a few rounds of this combined with Canelo's enability to land, frustration sets in. This only makes Floyd seem that much more unhittable than he already was. Like Floyd says, everybody thinks they see things watching him fight. When they get in the ring it's a whe different story.
The guy is that good. He uses feints, distance and defense to take guys out of their games. He is that good.

I can't be the only one on here thinking Canelo should have punched him in the bicep repeatedly
sickdarce - Canelo was dead set on throwing nothing but body punches, it was strange.he was set on throwing body pinches bcz those were the only hots he was landing.

Canelo is not as good as they make him seem like he is
