Watched this earlier and just finished working on it in training. Im finding trouble getting him to the ground initially from the DLR position, however once i get him down everything else flows pretty smoothly. Mendes gets them down so effortlessly

trick is to either force them to back step or fall all together and its all in the flick with the hook and kind of push/kick with the distance creating foot all while pulling on belt/collar/whatever you have and the heel. if all are being pushed and pulled right they will either fall or at least back step. after that everything works pretty smooth unless they create too much space and get their knee free but even then its not too hard to sweep.

damn ive been rolling the wrong way? i get stuck going inverted the way he shows if the guy keeps his legs heavy. but have good success rate rolling over my other shoulder i think the way you backtake from reverse half.
anyone know if im missing out on some advantage by doing this? only thing is i feel you might end up higher up on the back his way. that is probably the reason. any thoughts?
I wish the Miyao bothers would do one too because they enter even more ways than the mendes brothers
Yeah, i've been doing it wrong this whole time too. no wonder why i keep get'n caught in knee bar positons.
