Message from an Athlete Rep.

To: The Athletes of USA Judo

First of all Happy New Year and Happy Holidays.

I would like to thank you all for your support and insight over the last 4
years. Sometimes we all may not have seen eye to eye, but please
believe that I will always support all athletes and those issues that
affect you. I will also continue to work for your benefit now and into
the future regardless of my role within USA Judo. You have a new
athlete Representative, John Serbin joining Reno Reser. I hope that you
will continue to support them and all share with them as much
information as you have shared with me. This information has helped
give me a better insight as to how to best represent you. You have a
great group ready to work with and your personal coaches for your
benefit over the next four years. Please give them your support and be
ready to train, compete hard and win medals.

We start a new quadrennial today and I hope that all of you are
preparing and dreaming of 2008 or 2012. If I can ever be of service in
the future please let me know and I will do what I can to help you raise
our flag throughout the next four years and beyond. I am very proud to
have represented you and look forward to seeing your development in
the future.

The Olympics are every 4 years, but the preparation never ends. I wish
all of you best of luck in the coming season and over the next four
years. See you on the mat.

Sincerely,

David R. Williams
Former Athlete Representative
