Sources close to the negotiations told MMAjunkie.com that former WEC champion Mike Brown and fellow featherweight contender Diego Nunes have agreed to meet at UFC 125, and the bout soon should be finalized.

With a stacked partial card already announced for the new-year show, Brown vs. Nunes likely will be part of the preliminary card.

Brown, who suffered a submission loss to Genki Sudo back in 2004 at UFC 47, is looking to get another shot at the title, now dubbed the UFC featherweight championship, when he meets Nunes, a fellow contender who owns a solid 4-1 mark in the WEC.

This card is ridiculous. I hope this ends up being one where the fights go so fast we see all the prelims. Correct me if im wrong, but if you order the PPV on UFC.com you dont get the prelims live do you? You get them the next day? Phone Post

wow the aldo fight will be a finish and a spectacular one probably and then edgar maynard fight will be.... eh
